SENIOR RESEARCH ASSOCIATE

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in molecular biology and cell based assay development. The position will require the candidate to apply molecular and cellular biology expertise to target identification, characterization and implementation for the purpose of developing therapeutic antibodies for the treatment of obesity, muscle and metabolic diseases. Needs to be comfortable with working on multiple projects and switching priorities as needed.

Responsibilities:

• Molecular biology (cloning, CRISPR, site-directed mutagenesis, lentivirus generation, DNA analysis)

• Cell culture

• Transfection of mammalian cells

• Western analysis

• Cell-based assays

• ELISA

• FACS

• Immunoprecipitation

• Immunohistochemistry

• Data analysis in Prism and Excel

Requirements:

• BS/MS and minimum of 4 years experience working with tissue culture, cell-based assays

• Molecular and cell biology expertise

• Knowledge of tissue culture and transfection

• Experience with optimization of cell-based assays

• Proficiency with data analysis in Prism
