Location: New Jersey and Florence, Kentucky Posting Date: 5/2013 Salary:$100,000-$125,000 Top global Chemical Manufacturing Company seeks an Operational Excellence professional with strong continuous improvement background and Six Sigma training to drive OpEx initiatives within their local site. This company is an industry leader and has a strong, longstanding commitment to Operational Excellence. Reporting to the Director of Operational Excellence, this individual will promote continuous improvement as the differentiating strategy to help teams achieve measurable process improvements and cost savings results aligned with regional priorities, as well as optimizing product flow. In addition, the Op Ex Manager will facilitate the development and sustainment of a visual workplace envronment with observable performance indicators for each work cell and activity. The Op Ex Manager will also lead complex improvement teams and train and coach employees within the field of continuous improvement and tools. As part of his/her responsibilities, the Op Ex Manager will also mentor managers and supervisors to improve their effectiveness, communicate best practices across all sites and participate in the local cross-functional management team to identify, scope, select and prioritize improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate must have a Bachelors Degree in Engineering or Science (or equivalent experience with a technical degree) along with 10+ years related excellence experience in a top notch manufacturing environment. The candidate also must be intimately familiar with continuous improvement philosophy, terminology and tools application. A Lean Six Sigma Green Belt is also required; a Black Belt is preferred. Other requirements include strong coaching, training and facilitating experience along with developing high performance teams and overall strong financial and business strategizing background.
