Job Description

Top International Bank seeks an Associate in Credit Risk Management, Public Finance to execute the following duties:

• Perform annual reviews for a portfolio of US municipal exposure using the bank’s rating tools and methodologies.
• Assist as necessary with the preparation of quarterly updates for counterparties on watchlist.
• Keep current with industry trends and developments, rating agency publications, and other research for a specified set of sectors within the US municipal market.
• Participate in the preparation of special reports on the bank’s US municipal portfolio and on specific sectors.
• Perform an independent and comprehensive analysis of transactions submitted by the Marketing Department in order to evaluate credit risks and to ensure the compliance with internal risk and rating methodologies.
• Present risk recommendations to the Credit Committee as required.
• Review transaction documents prior to execution to assure both compliance with internal Risk Management Procedures and to determine whether the transactions are in substantial conformity with terms and conditions of the transaction approved by Credit Committee.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS:

Education: BS or BA

Job Knowledge: Financial analytical skills with basic knowledge of US municipal finance and bond structures

Experience Required: Minimum 2 years in a credit-related position.
